Standing front and levitating, St. John the Baptist, winged, blesses with his right hand, thumb and ring seals. He holds in his left hand a scroll on which is written: "METANEITE ENGIKEGARE basileia TON OURA (N) JON" ( "Repent, the kingdom of heaven is near" (Mt 3.2) Bottom left, a decapitated head.. rests in a kanthare, referring to the Feast of the Invention of the head of the Baptist.

"Saint Jean Baptist" is a work of art by École de (École bulgare) Bulgarie. The original measures the size - Height: 51,2 cm, Width: 35,5 cm. Տեմպերա, փայտ (նյութ) was applied by the artist as the technique for the work of art. The original artwork has the following inscription: Date - Dated lower left: "1702". It belongs to the Petit Palais - Musée des Beaux-arts de la Ville de Paris's art collection.
