This sketch is part of a set of four panels presented at the competition organized by the City of Paris in 1933 to decorate the courtyard of the girls' school of the Dupleix Street in the fifteenth arrondissement. The decor proposed by Henri Nozais related landscapes in the tradition of the calendar cycle representing each of the sites in a given season. This set was not retained for the benefit of that of Jean Robert La Montagne Saint Hubert, winner of this contest.

In view of the fact that the are printed and processed by hand, there might also be slight variations in the motif's size and exact position.
