This more than 360 year-old artpiece titled The Coin Collector was made by the master Hendrik G. Pot in 1655. The original was made with the following dimensions: 18 x 15-7/8 դյույմ. His later works, including this one, are influenced by Rembrandt's treatment of light and his characterization of human subjects. The elderly man in this portrait is consulting a book that shows the coinage of different mints. He is either a coin collector or a money changer.
